Dr. Ravi Jain is an accomplished academic, researcher, and technology professional with a distinguished career spanning over three decades in the fields of Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Information Technology Education. He currently serves as a Lecturer at the University of the Sunshine Coast, Adelaide, and has previously held both full-time and sessional lecturer positions at the Victoria Institute of Technology and AIAT.

Dr. Jain earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Adelaide, Australia, where his research contributed significantly to the development of soft computing approaches in Intrusion Detection Systems. He also holds a Graduate Diploma in Education (specializing in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry) from the University of Adelaide, along with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Science (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry) from Dr. Harisingh Gour University, India.

A pioneer in the use of Fuzzy Logic, Genetic Algorithms, and Neural Networks for medical and security data analysis, Dr. Jain has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. His research work is well-recognized in the areas of Hybrid Intelligent Systems, Soft Computing, and Cybersecurity, with notable publications in Elsevier’s Neurocomputing Journal and Springer-Verlag.

Dr. Jain has also edited and authored several acclaimed books and conference proceedings, such as Innovations in Knowledge Engineering, and was a key organizer and Program Committee Member of various international AI and Soft Computing conferences.

In parallel to his academic contributions, Dr. Jain has over a decade of experience in server and network administration, working with Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows Server platforms, and implementing secure environments using tools like Apache, MySQL, Fail2Ban, and ModSecurity. He also brings strong experience in cloud computing (Microsoft Azure), database architecture, software engineering, and educational technologies like Moodle and Canvas.

Dr. Jain is a has been instrumental in curriculum development, student mentorship, and ICT education at both VET and higher education levels.
